Coram is one of the UK’s leading voluntary adoption agencies. Our London Branch achieved ‘outstanding’ in all categories in our previous two adoption inspections. We have also achieved ‘outstanding’ for our concurrent planning foster- care service. We are known for our innovative and child-centred work in all aspects of adoption, including adoption support.
Coram Capital is the partnership between Coram’s London Branch and four local authorities who all use Coram’s services to family find for their children (LB Harrow, LB Redbridge, City of London and Thurrock Council). Coram recruits and approves adopters and early permanence placements for all the children referred by the Coram Capital LAs and supports the placements of children, as well as providing adoption support.
We also have an adoption branch in the East Midlands and run a separate VAA (Coram Cambridgeshire) based in Cambridge.
A vacancy exists to work as a Senior Practitioner for Coram Capital Adoption, based at the LB Harrow office.
Your role will be to become involved in Permanency Planning for Harrow children who need permanent families and in ensuring that children are placed in permanent families at the earliest opportunity. You will be actively involved in liaising and working alongside social workers in the CIN and LAC teams and doing direct work for children who require adoption. You will support the transition of children to their permanent family.
