New Coram Children’s Legal Centre report highlights fate of children and young people brought up in the UK but unable to secure British Citizenship
A new report from leading children’s rights organisation Coram Children’s Legal Centre (CCLC) highlights the fate of hundreds of thousands of children and young people who, despite having been brought up in the UK, are trapped in precarious situations because they are unable to secure permanent status.

Coram is delighted that Professor Carolyn Hamilton, Director of Research and International Programmes at Coram Children’s Legal Centre, has been granted the award of Dame Commander of the British Empire (DBE) for Services to Children’s Rights and Education in the 2017 Queen’s Birthday Honours List.
Matt Rood, who recently won the title of ‘Mr Gay England 2017’, has pledged his support for Coram’s work in helping LGBT+ people to adopt. The charity is holding an LGBT+ adoption event as part of this year’s Pride in London festival.
