Coram’s Art Therapy offers children and families the opportunity to explore and express their feelings by making art. Working with each child to build a trusting relationship, a trained art therapist uses a variety of different art materials to help children who find verbal expression difficult, communicate in a totally new way.
Children – find new ways of expressing their emotional feelings and the issues they face in an open and non-judgmental environment that actively works to address their problems and build their self esteem and confidence.
Parents –either by being part of the session or through feedback sessions with the therapist, parents are supported to gain a deeper understanding of the issues their children face and as such, are better able to support them.
Schools – working with us to deliver Art Therapy in their schools, teachers will see children become increasingly more receptive to learning as the therapy starts to resonate and build children's self esteem and resilience to the emotional challenges that surround them.
