Achieve Corporate Responsibility objectives: Our dedicated Corporate Partnerships Manager will work with you to develop a successful corporate-charity partnership that will achieve your company’s objectives.
National reach, local impact: We can help you support programmes helping children and young people in your local community.
Support the most vulnerable: We work with children and young people who have faced the toughest start in life. You can help us to help those in greatest need.
Impact: Coram’s size means your donation will make a huge difference to our work and to the children we work with. Ninety pence of every pound we raise goes directly to our projects. This is amongst the highest in the sector.
Regular feedback: We'll provide you with regular feedback to demonstrate the tangible impact your support has had on our work, and giving you really positive information for you to share with key stakeholders.
Employee engagement: By involving your employees in a partnership with Coram, you can develop team-working skills, aid your recruitment, and improve employee retention.
Many of Coram’s corporate partnerships encompass several of the elements below. This is to ensure both organisations capitalise on the range of opportunities that result from working together.
Direct Project Support – We’ll work with you to identify a project for your company to invest in and to outline the impact this will have. You’ll receive regular updates and progress reports to demonstrate the difference your investment is making.
Commercial partnerships – According to Business in the Community, 81% of people are more likely to buy a product that is associated with a cause they care about. We can offer your company a way to differentiate your product from your competitors leading to increased sales whilst at the same time supporting vulnerable children.
Employee fundraising – Our partners’ employees get involved in a wide range of events to raise money for Coram. From apprentice style challenges to rock concerts to national quiz tournaments we support companies in organising events that their employees are proud to take part in.
Charity of the Year – We have experience in managing a number of Charity of the Year partnerships. These are often initiated by an employee from within a company so if your company has a Charity of the Year, please consider nominating Coram!
Volunteering – Teams of employees can volunteer for Coram either by helping with gardening or painting or by working more directly with our projects. For example, Mishcon de Reya organised employability workshops to offer the young people we work with advice on skills such as how to write a CV or how to prepare for a job interview. Volunteering is great for team building and gaining a better insight into the projects that your company is supporting. It also helps us to keep our overheads as low as possible. Alternatively we also have opportunities for individuals to get more involved in our work.
Event sponsorship – Coram hosts a range of exciting events throughout the year and your company can receive a range of tailored benefits to promote your support and involvement. Please see Coram’s events page (insert link) for details of upcoming events or phone Fran to find out more.
Payroll giving – One of the most tax efficient ways of giving. If your employee is a basic rate taxpayer, a gift of £5 actually only costs them £4. Many of our corporate partners generously choose to match their employees’ donations.
Gifts in Kind – We often have a list of good quality items we need at any one time, including products such as computers, paint and furniture. Please contact Fran for an up to date list of items needed or to see if an item you have could be of use to Coram. We also welcome donations of venues for our events/meetings.
Pro-bono support/secondments – If you or a team in your company have expertise that you think Coram could benefit from, please get in touch. We’d also love to hear from any companies that could offer employees a secondment at Coram to help support our work.
Increasing awareness of Coram’s work– Is there a way your company could increase awareness of Coram’s work amongst your employees or customers? We’re keen for as many people as possible to see the Coram logo and understand our role in helping vulnerable children in London and across the UK.
