supported housing service
Coram Supported Housing Service works with vulnerable young people aged 16-21. We provide accommodation for up to 30 young people across London and support them to gain the knowledge and experience necessary to live their lives as independent young adults.
Our services include:
- Accommodation Based Support
We provide safe and supportive housing throughout London where young people are encouraged to develop the life and social skills needed to manage their lives and to use support networks in the community. We take a needs-led approach to help each young person prepare for the transition to independence.
- Life and Social Skills Programme
We have developed a robust, yet flexible, accredited programme as part of the AQA Unit Award Scheme. Once a young person moves in, they may follow as may units as necessary to develop their knowledge and skills. The programme aims to give formal recognition for the learning and experience gained.
- Aftercare
When a young person is ready to move-on to the other provision, we assist to identify appropriate accommodation, set up and move into their new home, and provide advice on related issues such as financial management, health, relationships, social and community activities. We offerresettlement to all service users which is tailor made to meet individual needs.
