Father Involvement
The Coram Father Involvement Project has recently won funding to provide better services for young fathers. These parents often have diverse and complex needs, which other services are sometimes unable to meet.
The Coram fathers workers and the Young Parents Project are using a flexible strategy that is able to respond to the individual needs of each young father, and overcome the challenges of engaging this group.
The long-term aim is to link young fathers with the well-established Coram fathers’ group, opening up opportunities for mentoring. In the initial stages of the project, the fathers workers will be offering individual support to establish solid relationships with each young father, liaising with other agencies as and when required.
The young fathers group works with fathers aged 16-25 in the Camden area. For further information about the project, please contact Javierra Navarro on 020 7520 0311
