Data Visualisation Slides - Professor Gilbert
Data Visualisation in Children's Social Care was a special event held by Coram and the Alan Turing Institute to present how a visual approach to data interpretation could innovate how local authorities understand children’s pathways in the care system - and therefore improve operational and strategic decision-making.
Data Visualisation in Children's Social Care was a special event held by Coram and the Alan Turing Institute on 10 December to present how a visual approach to data interpretation could innovate how local authorities understand children’s pathways in the care system - and therefore improve operational and strategic decision-making.
Coram and the Alan Turing Institute, aided by the Rees Centre (University of Oxford) were funded by the Nuffield Foundation to investigate how a visual approach to data interpretation could innovate how local authorities understand children’s pathways in the care system - and therefore improve operational and strategic decision-making.
The project found great potential in problem identification/resolution – and focussed on tackling ‘stuck’ processes in social care. We will demonstrate the impact innovative use of data can have – and how it could help local authorities and care providers re-evaluate processes to achieve the best possible journeys for children and families requiring support or intervention.
Academics and experts from a variety of related arenas will present on the day, spotlighting their work and bringing discussion – painting the picture of where data and social care interact, and the potential between them.
A series of presentation slides are available from the event, including those here.
