The Neverending Story comes to Coram’s Secret Garden cinema
This August sees the return of our immensely popular pop-up cinema event
The Nomad Cinema’s roaming screen is travelling to our very own Secret Garden- a magical undiscovered spot in the heart of London which is rarely open to the public. The screenings take place in August and are the perfect way to while away an evening with family or friends, while supporting Coram’s vital work with vulnerable children.
The films showing are both coming-of-age tales of youngsters defying adults to make their own rules.
The Neverending Story (U) on Wednesday 13 August introduces you to Bastian, who delves into a world of fantasy and imagination through a very special book, where he finds Atreyu, a boy warrior on his way to save his world - Fantasia – from The Nothing…
The Goonies (12) screens on Thursday 14 August sees a band of pre-teens who live in the "Goon Docks" in Oregon attempting to save their homes from demolition, and in doing so, discover an old Spanish map that leads them on a rollercoaster adventure.
Both events have now sold out.
These apt tales are perfectly in keeping with their surroundings in the grounds of the UK’s first children’s charity.
