Discover the story of Thomas Coram, whose campaign for the Foundling Hospital saved thousands of children and their mothers from destitution in Georgian England.
We are sorry to announce that this event has been cancelled.
Instead, why not join our historic Thomas Coram exhibition tour and walk on Wednesday 7 November.
Our free historic walk explores the original Foundling Hospital estate, and features Handel, Hogarth and the cream of Georgian society.
The charity continues today under the name of Coram, and the walk is led by Carol Harris, Coram's Social History Editor.
- 12.30pm walk leaves from the Thomas Coram statue outside the Foundling Museum.
- 1.15-1.20pm ends in the exhibition, with short intro to the exhibition. Tea and gingerbread provided.
