London Landmarks Half Marathon 2020
Take in the sights of London whilst running for charity by taking part in the 2020 London Landmarks Half Marathon!
We are very sorry that circumstances have led to the London Landmarks Half Marathon being unable to take place on 29th March 2020 and want to reassure you that the race organisers are working with the local authorities to secure a new date. Please know we’re doing our best and will be in touch as soon as we can to let you know the outcome.
In the meantime, you can keep occupied by signing up to the Local Landmarks Challenge - a solo, virtual run, around your local landmarks. Your local landmarks could be anything from your local church, castle, park, statue or even post-box. Take on our event strap-line, 'The Grand. The Quirky. The Hidden', get creative and plot a run around your local landmarks and continue your support of Coram.
The challenge is open to everyone, whether you have a place in LLHM 2020 or not, and distances over 5k qualify for the challenge. You can complete your total distance over a number of runs and multiple days – you do not need to complete it in one go.
This is a solo, virtual challenge. Please do not organise to do this in groups. The Current government advice is that it's safe to go outside to run once a day alone or with a member of your household as long as you keep a safe distance from other people (at least a 2 meter distance). Please read the Government's guidance which can be found here and adhere to it at all times.
You can take part in the Local Landmarks Challenge from today until 3rd May 2020 and we encourage you to continue to fundraise whilst taking part.
We have been calling all runners shortly to discuss their options. We know how disappointing the news must be for you all, and recognise the incredible efforts you have all been going to in regards to your training and fundraising. Like you we are very sad, and share in your disappointment, but we will get through this together! We will keep you updated with any developments, but your running journey with Coram is not over yet. Keep training, keep fundraising, we are here to support you and we need you now more than ever. Thank you so much for your patience and support.
