Making Life Good

Making Life Good

Join us for an online event to discuss the past, present and future of foster care and its invaluable role in our modern society.

Foster Care Fortnight is The Fostering Network's annual campaign to raise awareness of the transformational power of fostering and to celebrate the fostering community. This year, from 10-23 May, the theme is #WhyWeCare. The Fostering Network wants the whole fostering community, from foster carers and care experienced children and young people to campaigners and everyone in between who cares about the lives of children in care, to step up and tell the world #WhyWeCare.

Join us for this digital event, in partnership with the Fostering Network to discuss the past, present and future of foster care and its invaluable role in our modern society.

We are delighted that we will be joined by Josh MacAlister, Chair of the Independent Review of Social Care, with an opportunity to hear his views and plans for this important and landmark moment in social care.

Social Historian Carol Harris will explore the origins of Fostering; Freya Burley, Implementation Manager for Mockingbird at the Fostering Network, will talk about this ground breaking programme and Kevin Williams, CEO of the Fostering Network, will discuss the current landscape.
