Santas sprint for good Claus

Twenty-four Santas will test out their festive fitness for Coram next month in the 2013 Santa Run
Taking place on 8 December in Victoria Park, the event will see our Santas run either 5km or 10km. They are on course to raise over £3000 to support our work with vulnerable children.
Teams taking part are from MACE, Thomas Sinden and Aberdeen Asset Management.
Des Thomas, Director of Thomas Sinden, said: “We wanted to show our appreciation and support for Coram’s work. Rather than simply give cash, we thought running the race would be a great gesture. Most of us are parents, so we want to support Coram’s work with vulnerable children.”
Colleague Craig Puncher, who will run 5km in a festive builder’s outfit, said he was looking forward to the race: “This is my first run for charity, so it’s an opportunity to try something different.
“My outfit will of course present a challenge, but I’ve done a couple of training sessions in jumpers to prepare!
Craig said: “My family and friends are all sponsoring me which is great – they will be coming to the race, as will our Directors. I’m really looking forward to it – there’s a great team spirit.”
The 2013 Santa Run is organised by Skyline.
