Peter Capaldi urges the public to get behind Coram’s Crowdfunding Campaign this National Read a Book Day
To mark National Read a Book Day, former Doctor Who star and long-time Coram supporter Peter Capaldi has called upon the public to support Coram’s crowdfunding campaign to enable us to send a copy of our new children’s book Captain Coram: Champion for Children to every school in the UK.
On Sunday 29 July, over 100,000 cyclists took part in a record-breaking RideLondon 100, cycling to raise £3million for their chosen charities. Coram’s team, made up of 15 incredible cyclists from adopters to accountants, put their pedal to the medal in support of our vital services.
A month ago 30 incredible individuals pounded the streets of London to complete the 26.2 miles of the 2018 London Marathon course for Coram. Our runners trained in freezing conditions, even braving snow and hailstones before experiencing one of the hottest London marathons on record come race day!
The UK’s first children’s charity Coram has launched a Crowdfunding campaign to create a book telling the incredible story of its founder Captain Thomas Coram, 350 years after his birth, and to send a free copy to every school in the UK. We want every child in the country to know the origin of children’s rights and the story of the visionary who made it possible.
