The coronavirus pandemic might mean we’re stuck at home, but Coram’s exciting new creative writing project, Letters from Lockdown, promises to be a boredom buster for care experienced young people this May.
We are pleased today to welcome the Shakespeare Schools Foundation (SSF) to the Coram Group of charities. The partnership was announced in February, and SSF will now become the Coram Shakespeare Schools Foundation (Coram SSF).

In an extended interview in today’s Financial Times, Coram CEO Dr Carol Homden explains how Coram has grown from being a relatively narrow focused charity which concentrated on providing alternative care for children into a Group that has grown by amalgamation, containing nine (soon to be ten) organisations all working to create better chances for children.

Coram CEO, Dr Carol Homden spoke to BBC Radio Kent this morning (Thursday 19 March 2020), following the Prime Minister's announcement yesterday that all schools, colleges and nurseries across the country will close indefinitely from tomorrow, with an exception for children of key workers and vulnerable children, including those who have a social worker and those with special educational needs.
