CoramBAAF is today celebrating 40 years since its formation in 1980 with a virtual event for members that will hear key speakers consider how the children’s sector has evolved over the last 40 years, with contributors including ADCS president Jenny Coles, CoramBAAF’s director of policy, research and development Dr John Simmonds, and University of East Anglia professor of social work Elsbeth Neil.

An inspiring collection of short stories submitted by children to the 500 Words: Black Lives Matter competition run by Virgin Radio in July is published today, with all royalties to be matched by publisher Bonnier Books and donated to Coram Beanstalk, enabling the reading charity to reach even more children in Black, Asian and other ethnic minority communities who need reading support.
