Volunteer with us
Every year, as well as the vital support Coram receives from fundraising, we benefit from the teams and individuals who help us by volunteering their time, passion and skills.
We are looking for volunteers who can offer their time and expertise to support our vital work with children, young people and families – both directly and indirectly. Without their time, effort and commitment, our vision for ‘Better chances for children’ would be much harder to deliver.
You don’t need to be an expert in child care practices to volunteer with us because we have so many practical ways you can get involved.
What it means to you as a volunteer
In return for your kindness, you will receive:
• Full training in your chosen volunteering activity
• Regular support sessions with your volunteer coordinator
• Reasonable expenses paid
Anyone over the age of 18 years old can apply to be a volunteer. Depending on the work you are engaged with, you may need an enhanced DBS Check and reference checks. There will be an interview and, in some cases, there will be a two-stage assessment process. The first stage will be general to all volunteers and the second will be more specific to the volunteering role(s) you are interested in.
