Commercial Team (Trusts and Major Donor Fundraising)
Compensation: Travel and lunch expenses (on receipt basis only)
Commitment required: 1 or 2 days per week for at least three months (hours negotiable)
Based: Coram Campus, Bloomsbury WC1N
Coram is the UK’s oldest children’s charity, providing care and support where needed and creating better chances for children, young people and their families. We develop resilience in children and young people, enabling them to take responsibility for their own lives and fulfill their full potential. Last year alone we helped over 16,000 children and families.
We are currently seeking a volunteer to support the trusts and major donors team to carry out important research on some of our current and prospective targets. It would be an ideal opportunity for someone who is keen to obtain a broad understanding of fundraising and/or the charity sector.
The ideal volunteer will be highly organised and efficient, possess excellent communication skills, be proactive and computer literate, with a ‘can do’ attitude. Previous experience of fundraising or the charity sector is not essential, but a demonstrated interest would be an advantage.

Coram’s Adoption and Permanent Families Service is one of the leading adoption agencies in the UK. We have adoption teams in London, East Midlands and East Anglia and run the country’s only concurrent planning project. We are passionate about each child’s right to permanence and our active research programme influences practice and policy. We are known for the quality of our placements, the post adoption support we provide and are proud to have an exceptionally low disruption rate. We have a partnership with Harrow to deliver their domestic adoption service, and are developing partnerships with other local authorities. Our team in the East Midlands offers support groups for adopted children and young people which are highly regarded and well used.
We are looking for two Senior Practitioners in East Midlands to join Coram and contribute to our continued growth and development. We are seeking social workers with experience of child care social work, and particularly of adoption and assessing adoptive applicants. Coram has a professional work ethos which values and respects social workers who remain in the field and develop their expertise. We provide good quality reflective supervision and opportunities to develop your practice skills.

Coram Children’s Legal Centre
Salary: £32,000 - £34,000 per annum, inclusive of London allowance
Hours: 40 hours per week with 1 hour paid lunch break

Coram Children's Legal Centre is a national charity committed to promoting children's rights in the UK and worldwide. Coram Children’s Legal Centre aims to:
The Solicitor and Outreach Worker’s role will be as part of the Centre’s Migrant Children's Project. The Migrant Children’s Project aims to ensure that refugee, asylum seeking and migrant children are able to obtain the services and assistance to which they are legally entitled. We provide detailed advice, information and training on their rights and entitlements, and on the impact of immigration law on services to children. We also campaign to ensure that laws and policies defend their rights and extend the protections available to them.
This role will involve extensive outreach work and drop-in legal advice sessions, through which advice on immigration, family and welfare issues will be provided to hard-to-reach migrant children and families. Case work will also be carried out under a Legal Services Commission Family contract, where appropriate.
