Schools across the UK take part in Coram’s Wear Your Scarf Day for Children’s Mental Health Week
Today (13 February), hundreds of primary schools across the country are taking part in the fourth annual Wear Your Scarf Day, hosted by children’s charity Coram, to support Children’s Mental Health Week.
Anti-bullying charity Kidscape transfers into Coram
Kidscape, the longest serving anti-bullying charity in England and Wales, is, from 31 January, transferring all its activities across to Coram, where its existing programmes will operate under the name Coram Kidscape.
High Court finds that Hounslow unlawfully failed to treat a child as “looked after” in s.20 Children Act 1989 case
The High Court has ruled that Hounslow Council unlawfully failed to recognise a child as “looked after” and provide him with adequate accommodation and support under the Children Act 1989, in a successful judicial review initiated by Coram Children’s Legal Centre (CCLC). The claimant, CLT, was represented by Finnian Clarke of Doughty Street Chambers, instructed by Kelly Everett, Senior Solicitor at CCLC.
