Coram International was privileged to meet with Dinara Zakiyeva, the Commissioner for Child Rights of the Republic of Kazakhstan and her Coordinator, Aliya Zhekenova, as part of their visit to the UK.
This meeting was a continuation of Coram International’s decade-long collaboration with partners in Kazakhstan on the protection of children’s rights. Together with Damon Briggs from Frontline, the team discussed the key building blocks for developing an effective child protection system and the pathway for professionalising the social service workforce in Kazakhstan.
Our team were also thrilled to accompany the delegation during their visit to the Children, Education and Families Department of the London Borough of Bromley, to exchange best practices and innovation in child protection and social work with its transformation lead, Aneesa Kaprie and her team.
