The Coram Voices in Action school exclusion ambassadors have been named today as one of the Big Issue 100 Changemakers of 2026.

The Big Issue’s Changemakers list celebrates 100 individuals and organisations making a meaningful difference across the UK.
Coram’s school exclusion ambassadors are a group of young people aged 16-25 turning their personal experience of school exclusion into drive to make change for others. They have been selected in the media and campaigns category of the Changemakers list, highlighting how their work is helping to influence policy and provide hope and practical support for other young people facing the same barriers.
In just 18 months, they’ve delivered peer education sessions, co-produced rights-based films and created Excluded but not Unheard, a powerful zine of poetry and prose. They’ve also advised sector leaders and government, including speaking at a ministerial roundtable.
Julia Mayer, Coram Voices in Action programme manager, said: “I am so incredibly proud of the Young Ambassadors for this achievement. They have worked so hard and been involved in so many projects always being driven by their enthusiasm to make a difference to other young people.”
