2026 is the 100th anniversary of legal adoption in England and Coram is marking the centenary by hosting a range of events and activities. We want to ensure that the voices of adopted young people are at the heart of our work this year and in years to come.

What we do will be guided by you, but will include:
Our focus will be on telling our stories. We will work together to create a “tool kit” to speak about adoption, focusing on how to support other young people in schools and the wider community. We will work together to establish what you think people need to know about adoption and look at creative ways of sharing experiences. Having fun along the way.
Our work this year will lead to a series of events during the 2026 National Adoption Week in October.
The group will meet in person in London each month with online sessions for people who live outside London.
