The Coram Adoption Activity Days team have received nationwide recognition for their outstanding contribution to the social work profession

Coram is one of the adoption agencies across the country supporting a campaign launching today (2 March) encouraging more LGBTQ+ people to consider adoption and fostering.

Today (21 January) to mark Big Adoption Day 2026, charitable social enterprise and leisure operator GLL and the UK’s first children’s charity Coram have announced a new partnership, offering 500 free three-month memberships to Better leisure centres for adoptive families in London and across the country.

As National Adoption Week (20-26 October) gets underway, Coram is calling for people across the country to share their own stories of adoption, as part of its programme of activities marking the centenary of The Adoption of Children Act in 2026. 

As Kinship Care Week 2025 (6-12 October) gets underway, a study by Coram, commissioned by Foundations, shows the potential of mediation to support kinship families by improving communication, reducing conflict and helping to create stable, child-focused arrangements. With further development and backing, the approach could become a vital part of the support offered to kinship families across the country.

Coram is today publishing a free online toolkit designed to support social workers, foster carers, children’s services and all those with a role to play in finding families for children who need long-term foster carers.
