The group of 70 men and women left Frankfurt on the morning of Friday 5th September and cycled 550km over four days to arrive in Amsterdam on the evening of Monday 8th.
The group began fundraising prior to the event and managed to surpass their target before the ride began! They have so far raised £33,600 (€40,000) in total, hoping to reach a total of €50,000.
Colt UK represented half the group, whilst the others hail from Colt offices across Europe and will be donating their share of the funds to charities which support vulnerable children in their cities.
Richard Oosterom, EVP for Voice Services at Colt said: “The bike ride is not only about camaraderie, achievement and fun, but it has a greater purpose in bringing together many Colt colleagues to support the kids/young people in our Colt cities through the charities we have chosen. Thank you very much!”
Coram is the UK’s first dedicated children’s charity, and had been supporting vulnerable children and young people since 1739. It was first known as the Foundling Hospital and is celebrating its 275th anniversary this year.
Colt is an international I.T. services company, and partnered with Coram earlier this year. This new and exciting partnership will have a measurable, positive impact on the lives of vulnerable and marginalised children that Coram supports, in London and beyond.
