Dr Carol Homden CBE, CEO of Coram said:
“Since our work started in 1739 we have supported vulnerable children at serious risk and that this remains a significant issue today demonstrates the fundamental shift in social commitment that is required.
Children living in families with complex circumstances feel frightened and ignored. It is unacceptable that these vast numbers of ‘invisible’ children are left unable to thrive and reach their full potential.
A determined effort is needed to ensure that families are able to access a consistently high level of support and that these children are given our full priority, with their rights and needs at the absolute forefront.”
