Following the vote, AG has said that Coram’s mission of creating better chances for children, is also at the heart of the Firm’s commitment to ‘Unlocking Young Potential’, which aims to help young people in the community receive access to education, access to the legal profession, and access to a workplace to fulfil their potential.
The team at AG will now spend the next two years raising funds and awareness for Coram through a range of activities and initiatives.
Julian Hare, Head of Corporate Partnerships at Coram, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have been chosen by Addleshaw Goddard’s London office colleagues to be their new charity partner for the next two years. Access to education is a fundamental right for children and integral to social mobility, yet too many lose out on a fulfilling school education and the chance to unlock their potential.
“Coram Education and our focus on early intervention exists to make sure this doesn’t happen. Addleshaw Goddard’s fundraising and expertise through this partnership will help support 100,000 vulnerable children in London to access the education they deserve and equip them with the skills and confidence to succeed – helping us realise our ambition of powering the potential of children from all walks of life to succeed in education and their future.”
Leona Ahmed, Head of Addleshaw Goddard‘s London office, adds: “Coram does some fantastic work to support disadvantaged children in our local community and we can think of no better Charity Partner to work with and support. Our CSR strategy of Unlocking Young Potential is one that we feel very strongly about aligns with the many projects that we support across the globe. The teams in London are very excited about our working together with Coram over the next two years.
“Our office had a fantastic time fundraising for our previous Charity Partner, and we are looking forward to seeing what new ideas we can come up with to support the important work of Coram.”
