A new partner in 2013, Coram is delighted to be working with Sodexo, the world’s largest services company. Through its charitable foundation, Sodexo is helping Coram to ensure that more children understand the benefits of healthy living and diet. The partnership is focussed in and around Salford, Manchester, an area where Sodexo has a strong presence.
Sodexo has sponsored one of Coram Life Education’s state-of-the-art mobile classrooms, which will visit thousands of children in schools across the area. Local pupils will also be able to take part in a healthy lifestyles competition which will help to build their knowledge of how to eat healthily, delivered in a fun and creative way. Finally, thanks Sodexo’s support, Coram can also help local schools who would benefit greatly from a visit by Coram Life Education but who do not have the budgets available to access the service. This will ensure that more children can gain the vital knowledge and skills they need to lead healthier lives.
“We are very pleased to support Coram Life Education and provide valuable financial support which will extend its specialist programme to reach even more school children. With 300 plus employees based in our Salford office plus a number of client sites nearby, it is an area close to our hearts. The programme fits perfectly with our STOP Hunger campaign which aims to tackle malnutrition, promote healthy eating and to deliver basic life skills in the communities in which we operate.”
