Coram social media community standards

Coram is committed to creating a safe and respectful space across our social media platforms. We maintain our social media channels to share updates about our work, raise awareness of Coram, and grow a supportive community.

We work with children and families, often in highly sensitive situations, and as such, we have strict guidelines for online engagement. Due to the nature of our work, we cannot and will not discuss individual cases or respond to case-related enquiries online.

We ask that when engaging with our social media pages that you do so with kindness and respect. We do not tolerate:

  • Hate speech, abusive language, or personal attacks
  • Harassment or targeted abuse of our staff, volunteers, or supporters
  • The sharing of sensitive or identifying information about individuals, cases, or our beneficiaries
  • False or misleading information about Coram or the work we do
  • Any content that could endanger a child or vulnerable individual

If individuals fail to follow these guidelines, we reserve the right to:

  • Remove or hide comments that are inappropriate, offensive, or harmful
  • Block users who repeatedly violate our standards
  • Report individuals to the relevant social media platforms for harassment, misinformation, or inappropriate content
  • Escalate serious cases to the appropriate authorities if we believe an individual has harassed a member of our team or endangered a child by sharing sensitive information

We appreciate your support in maintaining a safe online space for everyone. Thank you for being part of our community and respecting these guidelines.
