Who we are
Coram’s Housing Rights Ambassadors are 16 to 25 year-olds with personal experience of homelessness or housing insecurity in London. They campaign locally and nationally to change policy and practice, design and deliver training to professionals, and empower their peers with knowledge of their rights through workshop delivery and content creation.
Workshops for professionals
Our workshops are co-designed and delivered by young people. They give professionals the opportunity to hear from young people on their experiences and best practice from a young person’s perspective.
Youth-led training for local authority housing teams working with homeless young people
This 1.5 hour workshop will increase participants’ understanding of the lived experience of homeless young people. Delivered entirely by Coram’s Housing Rights Ambassadors, they will:
- Explore the impact of homelessness and housing insecurity on young people
- Learn what information is important to young people
- Hear why experiencing empathy and trust with professionals makes a difference
- Understand how trauma can impact on a homeless young person’s experience
Our free training can be delivered in person or online, at a time that suits you.
