Coram Adoption East Midlands adoption drop-in for LGBT week

An informal information event for people interested in adoption is being held as part of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Adoption and Fostering Week by Coram Adoption East Midlands Adoption on Friday 8 March.
The team will be answering questions and offering advice on all aspects of adoption for people interested in finding out more about adoption in their area. There will also be the chance to hear from a gay dad about his experiences of adopting a child.
Lorraine Wallis from Coram said all prospective adopters are welcome no matter who they are or at what stage they are in thinking about adoption.
"Adoptive parents come from all walks of life, so people shouldn’t rule themselves out. We’re open to single people or couples, those of different ages, ethnic backgrounds and sexual orientation.
What matters here is being able to offer a loving home to a child.
At Coram Adoption East Midlands we not only find and prepare adoptive parents, we offer lifelong support to our families. So whether you’re totally new to the idea or you’ve actually adopted before, come and find out more about how you can change a child’s life.”
This event is a part of a series of adoption events being held by Coram Adoption East Midlands
