Today (Friday 30 September), Will Quince, MP for Colchester, visited the Child Law Advice Service (CLAS), a free specialist legal advice and information service that supports over 15,000 parents, carers and young people across England each year, and receives over two million downloads of its website information pages annually.
Coram and Churchill Fellowships
Applications are now being accepted for a new programme of Fellowships exploring global approaches to improving the lives and outcomes of children and young people with experience of care. A free webinar on Thursday 29 September will explain more about the Fellowships and also hear from three Churchill Fellows on the impact they have made in this field.

Coram Beanstalk appeals for volunteer reading helpers to support children in “high demand” areas and combat learning loss this summer
Coram Beanstalk is calling for volunteers to come forward this summer to train as reading helpers and support primary school children with their reading from next term. Volunteers are most needed in Liverpool, Wolverhampton, Birmingham and Telford, as well as the London boroughs of Lambeth, Islington and Hackney.

The sessions, presented by Coram-i and CoramBAAF, are designed for foster carers and social workers to help support their personal and professional development.
