The Coram Adoption Activity Days team have received nationwide recognition of their outstanding contribution to the social work profession.

Kirsty Hammonds and Stephanie Bentley in Coram’s Adoption Activity Days team, have been recognised in the Amazing Social Workers 2026 campaign, led by the British Association of Social Workers (BASW), the UK’s largest professional body for social work.
The awards aim to highlight the achievements of individuals and teams in the profession, whilst also raising the profile and public understanding of the critical role of social work in our communities.
Kirsty and Stephanie lead Coram’s Adoption Activity Days across the country, which bring together approved adopters with children waiting longest to be adopted, in a fun, safe and supported environment, with the aim of boosting matches. Nearly 1,500 children across Britain have found permanent loving families through Activity Days since they launched over a decade ago.
Over 300 individuals and teams were nominated by their colleagues for the Amazing Social Workers campaign this year, including frontline practitioners, students, managers, leaders, educators and newly qualified social workers.
BASW will feature their accomplishments on their website and social media channels throughout March as part of their celebrations for World Social Work Day.
