Coram publishes first policy bulletin

  • 29 September 2025

Coram has today published its very first Policy Bulletin, setting out some of the key areas where our work is relevant to policy makers, and distributed to MPs, peers, journalists and civil society organisations with an interest in children and young people.

Areas covered include a response from managing director of Education and Wellbeing at Coram Harriet Gill to the DfE’s updated statutory guidance on RSHE, a call from head of CSSF Mike Tucker for drama to be seen as more than a ‘nice to have’ in schools, and a briefing from CCLC policy manager Marianne Lagrue on the school exclusions crisis and how we are working to tackle it.

The Bulletin also includes a recap of the recent CFC report setting out how disadvantaged children are at risk of missing out on early education, and a briefing on the issues around youth homelessness led by Voices in Action youth homelessness policy and practice officer Louise Mumcular.

It also includes an introduction from Coram CEO Dr Carol Homden, as well as a forward look to key Coram activity of potential interest to policy makers between now and the end of 2025.

You can read the Bulletin in full here.
