As the Learning Partner evaluating AllChild’s expansion of the Impact Programme into Wigan, we have produced this summary report to share insights from the first year of our two‑year learning partnership.
In this report, we assess the programme’s setup, implementation, and delivery in Wigan, and examine the emerging impacts on children and young people, their families, and the wider local system. Our midterm findings indicate strong early progress. Successful co‑design and deep community engagement – underpinned by extensive listening and collaboration with local stakeholders – have supported the development of positive relationships with schools, families, and local services, and helped establish a model that reflects Wigan’s context and needs. We also see emerging evidence of growing trust between children and their Link Workers, early improvements in confidence and self‑regulation, positive family engagement and indications of strengthened connections across the local system.
