In this edition of the Coram newsletter, discover how through our expressive arts provision, the annual Voices Awards, recent reports and case studies, we give children the chance to shine, no matter where they are.
Through the work of Coram Shakespeare School’s Foundation (CSSF), thousands of children have access to specialist support that builds confidence and resilience, through the teaching and performance of Shakespeare. This edition features some firsthand accounts of children and young people that have accessed CSSF’s support in celebration of their 25th anniversary, highlighting the importance of the arts in a child’s education.
The lack of funding for arts within school curriculum and growing pressures on services mean that more and more children and young people are falling through the gaps, unable to access the support and services they need. This is where Coram comes in – we are there to fight for better chances for every child, now and forever.
