Brexit: Children’s Rights at Risk or Future Opportunity in the Global Era?
Children live in a different world to their parents and grandparents. For them the virtual world has no borders. Around 1 in 15 children were born to a parent not born in the UK; and in 2015 over 1 in 4 births were to women born outside the UK. Children’s home environments, their classrooms and their wider world are different places from the past and they live in a rapidly changing global environment.
The Cornerstone Partnership (2017)
Coram’s evaluation of Cornerstone’s mentoring and Restorative Parenting Training schemes for adopters found that the programmes were viewed as high quality by adopters and social care professionals. Coram explored the effectiveness of the services through interviews with adopters, an online survey, focus groups with professionals and analysis of local authority data. The two schemes have run since the summer 2015 in partnership with seven adoption agencies
Zambia Juvenile Justice: National Diversion Framework
In 2016, Coram International worked with UNICEF Zambia to support the Zambian Ministry of Community Development and Social Services to develop a National Diversion Framework.
