Adoption and the problem of illegitimacy

This is the second in a series of papers that explores these and other similar issues raised by the practice of domestic adoption in England and Wales over the last century. Others will be released over the course of the Centenary Year and eventually be brought together in a forthcoming book.

Coram SCARF, the UK’s leading charity for children’s health, wellbeing and drugs education, has confirmed its support for a minimum age of access for social media services, set at no lower than 16, in its response to the government’s consultation paper 'Growing up in the online world: a national consultation'.

SEND consultation – Coram Group response

The Coram Group has responded to the government’s consultation on its proposals to reform the special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) system, addressing issues including changes to the SEND Tribunal, how to ensure children are best supported by the Universal offer, and the needs of children in and on the edges of care.
