About Coram and our Charter Patrons
Founded in 1739, Coram is the first and longest continuing children’s charity. We have evolved from the 18th century Foundling Hospital to become a dynamic group of specialist charities, supporting over 155,000 children, young people and families every year.
Coram champions children’s rights and wellbeing, making lives better through legal support, advocacy, adoption, and a range of therapeutic, educational and cultural programmes.
Our Charter Patrons help us to achieve our mission of creating better chances for children, now and forever.
