Childcare Survey 2025
In its 24th annual survey, Coram Family and Childcare reveal that working parents of children under three in England now pay less than half of last year’s cost for a part-time nursery place. However, prices for this age group continue to rise in Scotland and Wales, and childcare costs for three- to four-year-olds across Great Britain are up by almost 5%.

We use the insight gained through our service delivery for children and young people to deliver research through the Coram Institute for Children, engaging with government, MPs, local authorities, social workers, teachers, carers and families – all those in a position to make a difference – to deliver better practice, systems and laws.
The Door is Still Closed
This report, 'The Door is Still Closed', published by the Coram Institute for Children, finds that local authorities are routinely failing in their legal duties to children aged between 16-17 years old who become homeless, leaving them without the support they are entitled to.
