Join the CVAA and Coram on the Big Adoption Day 2026, celebrating voluntary adoption agencies and all the work that we do to help find loving homes for children waiting to be placed.
Your event
On Wednesday 21 January 2026, we are inviting all voluntary adoption agencies across the UK to open their doors simultaneously to mark the Big Adoption Day 2026.
This is an opportunity to promote the benefits of voluntary adoption agencies and promote adoption as a permanency option for some of our most vulnerable children, by running an in-person or virtual event in your area.
These events can be an opportunity for adopters and adoptees to share and celebrate their positive experiences of adoption. They can help to counter negative depictions of adoption in the media and online and for potential adoptive parents to find out more about the benefits of growing their family through adoption.
Agencies will be encouraged to invite adoptive parents to speak at information events and to use audio, video or written case studies to give prospective adopters a more rounded picture of the realities of adopting a child or siblings.
