Coram Children’s Legal Centre, in collaboration with volunteers from law firms, runs the School Exclusion Clinic, which offers virtual free legal representation to parents or carers of children and young people who have been permanently excluded from a school in London.

Drawing on Coram Voice’s recent report, Disability, Disparity and Demand, this free webinar will look at what we do (and importantly what we don't know) about the experiences of these children growing up in the care system. We’ll hear from one of the authors of the report, Dr Claire Baker, as well as other experts in the field.

The Law Commission recently consulted on restructuring the law on disabled children’s social care. This webinar will discuss some of the different perspectives on the potential changes.

These free sessions will provide an opportunity to reflect on the challenges disabled young people may face at times of transition, and how we can support them to make this process smoother, by ensuring that their rights are upheld. This will include exploring legislation.
